The GameOverCast
A funny, lively podcast produced by avid videogamers, about video games, how they effect our lives, the news and information around them and the occasional hilarity and memories we take away from it all.

Festive Greetings Listeners! Have you been good this year? Let's hope so, otherwise Santa won't bring you any nice presents!

PJBling has a plan to try and capture Santa to prove he exists, but that's another story.

This week the Christmas podcast was something of a car crash. Good ol' Skype exploded and the whole world ground to a halt, including our recording! After an hour and a half of tinkering we finally worked out
an alternative recording method, but it's not our usual crystal clear quality! We therefore recommend listening to this whilst hitting the Christmas Port. And cheese. Mmmmm cheese.

Anyway! This week the podcast is brought to you by everyone. No, seriously, pretty much everyone we've had on this year has come back for a mince pie and a chat. We move away from the usual format this week to
discuss our games of the year (there are a few surprises), we have a quiz of the year brought to you by Kinichie, and we read out some more of your awesome emails!

Have a fantastic Christmas everyone!

Hello listeners!

Many of the emails we receive are from listeners to say they love the Gameovercast because of the way we hurl abuse at each other. Well, you only hear the edited version! Mike does a cracking job every week at editing the podcast down to an hour, but that inevitably means you lose out of some classic lines.

A lot of what we say can't be broadcast in any way (we'd lose all of our Korean listeners overnight), but I have put together a few snippets for you to mull over with your mulled wine this Christmas. You'll hear me talk with my mouth full, Ninazu burp, Mike's toilet exploits, and Jay's googling skills. After you listen to this little lot, you will appreciate how much effort actually goes into the editing!

Merry Christmas to all of you from everyone at Gamers Voice and the Gameovercast Crew.

Loveyoulongtime.

Greetings Gamer People and welcome to Episode 29 of the GameOverCast in association with Gamers Voice.

This week Radar gets called away to work halfway through and so the podcast is a lot calmer and quieter than usual!

MisterPGibson has been playing Front Mission Evolved much to Radar's disgust, PJ is still living it up in New Vegas, Ninazu ISN'T playing GT5 (find out why).

In Radar's absence PJBling, Ninazu and MisterPGibson have a chat about Mass Effect 3 (and how Radar was wrong about it), Radar's editing abilities, and lament the fact that there is very little coming out for what remains of 2010. 2011 is looking at being an expensive year though for people with Ninazu Syndrome and all the recent reveals. The CODBLOPS PS3 patch is also causing some troubles...

This week's quiz is brought to you by Ninazu with the theme: Fighting Games. Radar returns for the quiz because he claims he's good at fighting games and likes winning.

Wilson's Corner returns (potentially for the last time if his girlfriend gets her way) along with some great listener emails some actual blackmail, some real hatemail, and a question about ISPs.

Hello and welcome to Episode 28 of the GameOverCast in association with Gamers Voice.

Maybe for the first time in the history of the GameOverCast the roster remains the same for two consecutive weeks, back with a bang to bring you more news views and clues about gaming are Radarhead, Mr P Gibson, PJ Bling and Ninazu.

Find out how to pronounce Blazblue properly and how Mr Gibson is always right, as well as more Gran Turismo 5 impressions after another week of play.  Halo Reach gets a new map pack which Bling and Gibson are a little bit obsessive about. Meanwhile Radar has been surprised and shocked by just how good Metro 2033 is.

There are no new games out of any note that we are vaguely interested in this week, as publishers gear up for the Christmas version of Ninazu syndrome everyone develops during the holiday period.

In news has Jumpgate Evolution finally kicked the bucket, are EA out of the single player only market, Radarhead is set to star in a new game and Civilization 5 is going to win a Grammy. Plus did the Panorama gaming addiction episode make any sense at all?

The quiz is a cunning and cryptic 'Who am I' hosted by Mr Gibson which bends the minds of all the contestants.

Wilson's Corner returns along with lots of listener emails including are modern games spending too much time on graphics now and not enough on content?

Finally a special mention to one of our super special Romanian listeners who sparks an impromptu subject of the week, you know who you are!

Hello and welcome to Episode 27 of the GameOverCast in association with Gamers Voice.

Radarhead this week is joined by PJ Bling, Ninazu with man flu and a broken Xbox also the now down from the roof temporarily Mr P Gibson for another super fun episode.

We all have been playing lots more Assassins Creed and Need 4 Speed multiplayer and can provide more insight into the pros and cons of both especially as PJ Bling has finished Brotherhood in single player. Find out if after years of delays was Gran Turismo 5 really worth the wait?

A special interview with Wing Commander Saga programmer Andreas Schmitt which is currently being created, based on the universe from the original Wing Commander games, exciting times for space combat fans.

World of Warcraft Cataclysm is hitting the stores along with Donkey Kong Country for the Wii and Blazblue: Continuum Shift in notable new releases.

News is that Mark Wahlberg is going to be in the Uncharted movie whilst do you want to play Halo 1 in HD or buy a game with a bunch of bananas?

Andreas joins us for the now world famous Gameovercast quiz based this week on notable firsts in the world of gaming.

Lastly we have an epic discussion around gaming genres that have disappeared and some which are making returns in various forms, which old genres do you wish were still around in the modern era?

Hello and welcome to Episode 26 of the GameOverCast in association with Gamers Voice.

Mr P Gibson is absent from this weeks podcast due to be stuck on a roof in Assassins Creed.  Luckily PJ Bling, Radarhead, Jay, Ninazu and Kinichie are on hand to try and coax him down with an action packed show.

That time of year has come again when there are more newly released games to play than calories in a deep fried chocolate bar. The highlights include Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit and Assassins Creed: Brotherhood both of which include strong single player elements and extremely compelling and addictive multiplayer for totally different reasons.

Up and coming the much delayed and anticipated Gran Turismo 5 whilst Splatterhouse may bring fear and dread in the wrong way from early impressions.

In news Elder Scrolls is heading into Oblivion again, Portal 2 being delayed is never a good thing as anyone who played the original will tell you, also find out how much retailers are making from your reused games, scary stuff.

Game related discussion makes us think about how awesome it was to be young and smart with quick reactions and shiny shoes, after years of sitting in darkened rooms playing games has our age and experience helped us or are we past it already?

Lastly the most competitive quiz the podcast has ever seen about vehicles in games leads to a fiery showdown, who will be the ultimate winner?

Hello and welcome to Episode 25 of the GameOverCast in association with GamersVoice.

This week the podcast is made up of myself, Ninazu, PjBling and MrPGibson(aka captain assface).

This train wreck of a podcast opens with MrGibson taunting us all with the fact he managed to get a copy of Assasins Creed Brother hood 2 days before release, he truly is a stinky head....

In games we have been playing MrGibson tells us all about the single player side of Assasins Creed Brotherhood. Ninazu can't get over how awesome the new PACMAN DX is, the best game ever (see the title is the same, omg!), and some more CODBLOPS is spoken of with semi fondness.

Imminent releases has us meh'ing at splatterhouse, but slightly amazed at GT5's imminent release date!

News has us speculating Mass effect 3, hating on foolish anti-game Mp's and more.

The quiz this week is brought to you by MrGibson, and is a corker, many funnies abound.

Topic of the week: What does the skyrocketing prices of development mean to gamers and developers alike?

Finally, its all about staying alive, as one of the crew finds out in the swearing forfeit, who is the lucky singer this episode?

Hello and welcome to Episode 24 of the GameOverCast in association with Gamers Voice.

We managed to tear Jay and Ninazu away from Call of Duty: Black Ops just long enough to make the podcast this week with hosts Radarhead and Mr P Gibson.

It may come as no surprise as this blockbuster is released it gets a stellar amount of airtime with interesting views on the new game modes and the classic ones which have had a spit shine for this years version.  How does the PC version stack up against the console version this time round?

The patches didn't work Radarhead cannot stop playing Fallout, Gibson has still not taken out the Halo Reach needle either as both try to avoid an inevitable slide into Black Ops addiction, how will they fare by next weeks episode..?

Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit is a strong favourite to become the replacement for the podcast's love of Split/Second Velocity in new releases whilst just as exciting the next instalment of Assassins Creed is coming out on the same day with a brand new multiplayer component which blew Radarhead, Jay and Gibson's socks off at Eurogamer.

It's on like Donkey Kong in news with the Cuban government allegedly making allegations about a new game out this week and those zany Spaniards are naming streets after video games?!

The Call of Duty theme continues in this weeks quiz, how much do the cast know about the series from early days to the latest outing?

Finally, life in plastic is fantastic as one of the crew finds out in the swearing forfeit, who is the lucky singer this episode?

Episode 23 - Sorry mum

Hello and welcome to Episode 23 of the GameOverCast in association with Gamers Voice.

Jay joins Radarhead, Mr. Gibson and Ninazu for a full frontal no holds barred assault on the world of gaming.

This is particularly apparent in Jay's assessment of Fable 3, no Jay tell us what you really think..!  Gibson is revelling in student life with a plethora of games to play during reading week.

Radarhead's Fallout New Vegas addiction may need patches or gum to tear him away and Ninazu revisits the multiplayer classic worms which can cause childish hilarity.

The king of the shooters Call of Duty: Black Ops looms over new releases planning to annihilate other puny games released around the same time.  (n)Kinect is also hitting the shelves although no-one seems to be rushing out to buy it just yet.

Newsworthy is the announcement of Project Gotham returning to the battle of the racers whilst Rock Band 3 early sales are not quite what was expected.

Weekly quiz enthusiasts never fear the crew duke it out as usual with Jay's tricky general games knowledge questions.

Loads of brilliant emails this week spark plenty of discussions we promise to revisit the subjects we didn't get to in future episodes.

Not enough?!  Discover what Ninazu Syndome is and someone gets punished for swearing who really, really should go into showbiz.

Episode 22 - Fear the Reaper

Welcome everyone to Epsiode 22 of the GameOverCast in association with Gamersvoice.

This week the podcast is made up of JaySantamaria, Madcat and death himself, MrPGibson.

We kick off with Gibson comparing games to getting a parking ticket, and slide from there into Jay sharing with us his experiences with his shiny new windows phone.

In games we talk a hella bunch of Fallout New Vegas, Super Meatboy and touch on some podcasts favorites such as L4D2 and Split Second.

In imminent releases we once again flumaxed by the sheer number of big titles due out, including Rockband 3 and and Forced Unleashed 2.

In News Blizzard pissed with Valve, Diablo 3 5th character confirmation Fallout Online, Tribes Reboot and more!

Oh and heres the Sonic fan game Link.

Quiz this week is brought to you by MrPGibson, the theme.... well there isn't one its random, but awesome as always.

Subject of the week is brought to us by you our lovely listeners as we read through some quality emails. The theme this week: what is a Hardcore gamer, does he/she even exist?
